About us
A holarchy is a system where every part is both individual and unique, yet part of a larger organisation, be that a team, a business or society.
We drive commercial value through understanding people and fans as individuals, and collectively. Powered by data and AI, we offer strategic and business leadership, marketing strategies built on understanding people and fans. We support organisations in building high-performance teams and individuals in their personal training and development.
There are two core pillars to Holarchy: our consultancy practice and our sports practice.

Holarchy explained
The word Holarchy is found in philosophy and represents a collection of holons. A holon is defined as something that is simultaneously a whole in and of itself – self-reliant, independent and unique, as well as a part of a larger whole, a collective organisation called a holarchy.
The terms holon and holarchy were first coined by Arthur Koestler, in his 1967 book “The Ghost in the Machine,” where he used them to describe natural organisms as composed of semi-autonomous sub-wholes or parts (holons) that are linked together to form a whole, a holarchy. The book's title nods to his philosophical concept that the entire ‘machine‘ of life and the universe is ever-evolving towards a more complex state.
With the profound changes in marketing, in business and in the world today, helping businesses navigate complexity by understanding consumers or fans as people, through data, is at the heart of how we drive value for clients.
